Kaki is inspired by photos to create paintings. She often frames the image she desires to paint in a photo. Sometimes she combines photo images, or uses images she finds in newspapers or magazines. She is not a photo realist. Her paintings reflect a mood or a composition or the light in the photo. If you would like a painting of photo you are fond of you can submit it for consideration for a commission work, bearing in mind that it will be the artist’s interpretation of the image that is the result.
